About IHC:

IHC is a process of determining which antibodies and antigens react to each other. Pathologists can identify molecular markers in order to offer a full range of diagnoses. IHC offers up colorful biomarkers that can be identified by the Pathologist. Some examples of how IHC can be used is for gastroenterology. In Gastroenterology it is important to identify the presence of Helicobacter Pylori. IHC staining can help determine the presence of H-Pylori and gives the gastroenterologist direction on treatment.
