Florida Pathology Lab Licensing| Because our pathologists maintain the strictest level of compliance as demonstrated in our Acceptable Quality Measures, at PSAP Lab, we believe in treating every patient as a family member.
Because Florida’s medical and pathology laboratory community
has demonstrated such high levels of growth, PSAP lab decided
early on that we would need to implement a QA process that
would allow us to meet the new and evolving levels of compliance
We reviewed external resources to supplement our knowledge base and as a team developed a clear strategy for our QA. Our policies and procedures meet the strictest level of federal and state regulations. However, we didn’t just stop there. We are pleased to inform you that we have continued to develop our standards by becoming CAP certified. Licenses will be shown below once available.
At PSAP Lab, we are committed to remain compliant with both federal and the state of Florida Pathology Lab License governing agencies. Please see our licenses below.
All According to AHCA (see website here) facilities, including physician offices, performing any clinical laboratory testing, are required to obtain a federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) certificate. Facilities performing any non-waived clinical laboratory testing or testing using a microscope must also obtain a state clinical laboratory license before the laboratory is authorized to perform testing. Tests performed using a microscope are not waived. To determine whether a test is waived, see the List of Waived Tests at the federal web site: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/CLIA/10_Categorization_of_Tests.asp, which provides CLIA categorizations.
